Catching the Moon
This image started with a turn of the century, seated portrait of two sisters. I was intrigued with the thought of giving them an other-worldly feeling. And so began their metamorphous into creatures from the fairie realm. I created a landscape lush with flowers and evocative colors to reveal the magic of their world.
The image of the monkey with the gold nimbus above the sisters was an understudy who triggered the title of the piece.
