This portrait is my visualization of first Man. The trials and tribulations of finding wholeness within oneself.
The puzzle pieces within his face seem to me to be the perfect metaphor for connecting spirit and matter. Inner landscape and outer landscape trying to find completeness.
The border of the original work is composed of actual puzzle pieces created from my previous collage, Catching the Moon.
