“The turn of the century oil painting of a large family setting featured an image of a woman viewing herself in the mirror. I chose to single her out and put her in a completely different setting, maybe an interior dream. The rhino holding her mirror became a departure point for where her story lead. Imagery should contain a mystery in its depth. What can be more mysterious than a voyage on a night sea.”
